Minimally Invasive Pedicle Screw Clinical Case Sharing

Name: Mr.Pan
Age: 40 Years Old
Patient Condition: The patient sustained lumbodorsal trauma from an accidental fall from height. Immediately after injury, the patient developed persistent severe sharp pain in the lumbodorsal region, with inability to stand or walk; pain worsens upon movement and lumbodorsal motion is markedly limited, accompanied by weakness in both lower extremities. There was no loss of consciousness, vomiting, or bleeding/fluid discharge from the mouth, ears or nose following injury. No palpitations, cold extremities or chest tightness were noted. The patient presented to our hospital for treatment right after the injury.

Specialized Physical Examination
Mild kyphotic deformity centered at the 2nd lumbar vertebra (L2) with local soft tissue swelling was observed. Severe tenderness was elicited over the L2 spinous process and paravertebral areas. Lumbodorsal range of motion was severely restricted. No signs of nerve compression were identified. No other abnormal findings were noted.

Treatment Plan-Surgical MIS Pedicle Screw
