How the cervical fusion cage works?

Anterior Cervical Decompression and Fusion (ACDF) has become the most widely adopted surgical procedure worldwide for cervical spondylosis, primarily indicated for cervical spondylotic myelopathy. Through a small anterior neck incision, surgeons access the affected intervertebral space via an intermuscular plane. The degenerated intervertebral disc and osteophytes are subsequently removed to relieve compression on the spinal cord and nerve roots. Following decompression, an intervertebral fusion device, commonly referred to as a Cervical Fusion Cage, is implanted to restore cervical spinal stability. Specially designed zero profile plate fixation systems are also available, enabling minimal invasiveness and rapid postoperative recovery. Most patients are able to get out of bed within one to two days after surgery. Furthermore, short-segment fusion imposes minimal adverse impacts on the overall stability and range of motion of the cervical spine.

ZATH Interbody Fusion Cage Advantages
Large Graft Window Design-Increases fusion rate and reduces subsidence rate
Multi-Point Tantalum Marker Design-Multi-point tantalum marker placement facilitates
confirmation of cage position before and after surgery
Directional Grip Teeth Design-Effectively prevents cage migration between vertebral bodies
Medical Grade Implantable PEEK Material  Elastic modulus similar to healthy bone, radiolucent and better structural integrity
3D Curved Surface Design-Effectively disperses stress and maintains intervertebral balance
Restores normal cervical lordosis
Minimizes damage to the anterior vertebral body during implantation; anatomical design, effectively reduces the risk of migration
